World Class Paradise

Daily Telegraph on Lord Howe Island

Pinetrees has just had a double page spread in the Daily Telegraph by travel journalist Angela Saurine. The article showcases Lord Howe Island as a genuine adventure destination. During her stay, Angela climbed 875 vertical metres to the summit of Mt Gower (and survived), and then celebrated her achievement with a sunset drink on the Pinetrees boatshed deck. She also went snorkelling on the southernmost coral reef in the world, kayaking on the pristine lagoon, beachcombing at Blinky and squeezed in 2 sessions of yoga every day with Charlotte Dodson. She may have popped up at a few wholefood cooking classes, but definitely took underwater photos of feeding fish at Neds Beach. What a trip!

Officially, Angela came to participate in our Spring Wellness Week where we provide a daily program of yoga, adventure fitness and wholefood cooking classes, but the true adventurers can do so much more than that. On a typical holiday, guests can scuba dive, snorkel, golf, swim, fish, bush walk, ride, kayak and SUP, and they're all world class. Well done Angela – you covered nearly all of Lord Howe Island in five days. Thanks for the lovely article, and please come again.

Pinetrees Lodge was the highlight of our honeymoon, which includes staying in a few different places in Australia. Everyone working here was so friendly and accommodating, food was amazing and of course the Island spectacular. I would tell anyone to stay here! Thank you

We had an extended family holiday that catered for ages 5-76. We did something new and amazing everyday and we did most things all together. The wonderful base of Pinetrees Lodge meant that there was no stress about meals or lodgings. We all ate well and the friendly staff was always willing to help and provide advice. I didn’t worry about our safety at any time and I loved not having my phone in my pocket.

Lord Howe Island is an environmental treasure. Pinetrees Lodge in its pleasant setting amongst the palms enhances the holiday experience. Pinetrees helps you feel comfortable and relaxed with friendly and helpful staff and fantastic food.

I can honestly recommend a holiday on Lord Howe Island and a stay at Pinetrees Lodge. Accommodation, food and staff are excellent and all facilities are available for a relaxing holiday whilst enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the natural habitat which remains unspoilt by development. This is our third trip to Lord Howe Island and stay at Pinetrees Lodge and we enjoy every minute. We can’t wait to return.

Pinetrees Lodge was relaxed, beautiful, and convenient and all the people working there were friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful – YUMMY, YUMMY AND YUMMY! We sure hope to be back and we might even bring the children next time so they can experience a moment of bliss. Thank you very, very much for a wonderful time!
