Lord Howe Island is known as a place of peace, tranquility and seclusion. For many of our guests, a week on the island is their only chance to escape the persistent phone calls, emails and traffic jams of the ‘real world’, and enjoy a much simpler lifestyle that rejuvenates mind, body and soul.
A Pinetrees holiday has always featured healthy food, daily exercise in spectacular locations, massage, socialising with like-minded people and, of course, sleeping. From 8-12 May 2017, 4-8 September 2017 and 30 October - 3 November 20-17, we’ll structure these activities, engage some expert practitioners and host four rejuvenating Wellness Weeks. Over five days, we’ll offer a daily program of yoga, spa treatments, massage, aerobic fitness and wholefood cooking classes, as well as our ‘normal’ repertoire of swimming, snorkelling, diving, surfing, kayaking, walking, golf, biking and mountain climbing. Combine these activities with three gourmet meals every day, and a complete disconnect from the outside world, and you’ll experience one of the most rejuvenating weeks of your life. You’ll also learn a range of new skills to help continue a healthier lifestyle at home. The Wellness Weeks include:
- two group yoga sessions every day with Charlotte Dodson
- one group fitness session every day
- three ‘wholefood’ cooking classes
- full breakfasts
- lunches (either at Pinetrees, gourmet BBQ hamper or packed lunch)
- afternoon teas
- 4 course ‘wholefood’ dinners
- personal menus for guests with special dietary requirements
- 6 nights' accommodation
- use of all lodge facilities
- island airport transfers
- spa treatments, additional yoga sessions and massage are available by appointment ($80 per hour)
Prices start from $2613 per person (twin share), excluding airfares and taxes. You can also book our Early Bird Deal (until 27 January 2017) and receive one FREE night's accommodation and meals, FREE wine, and discounted spa treatments. Our 5 night 'all inclusive' rate includes island airport transfers, use of lodge facilities and all meals - full breakfast, lunch (either at Pinetrees, gourmet BBQ hamper or packed lunch), afternoon tea and 4 or 5 course dinner. The 5 night 'all inclusive' rate excludes drinks, airfares and other applicable levies and taxes. Our 5 night 'bed & breakfast' rate includes island airport transfers, use of lodge facilities, full breakfast, afternoon tea, 4 or 5 course dinner on the night of arrival and evening transport to local restaurants. The 5 night 'bed & breakfast' rate excludes drinks, airfares and other applicable levies and taxes.
Bed & Breakfast rate
There are no cooking or self catering facilities at Pinetrees, so all 'bed and breakfast' guests should have lunch and dinner at local cafes and restaurants. 'Bed and breakfast' guests are welcome to book for lunch or dinner at Pinetrees by 9am on the day, although seats are not guaranteed due to high demand. The 'bed and breakfast' rate is not available for our 3 Bedroom Cottage, 4 Bedroom Cottage or Garden Cottages. The 'bed and breakfast' rate is not available for any rooms from 19 December to 20 January (inclusive). All guests in each room must book the same rate (i.e all guests must be on an ''all inclusive' rate or 'bed & breakfast' rate). Pinetrees will not accept bookings with mixed rates within one room.
Pinetrees Travel provides the best available airfares to Lord Howe Island. Qantaslink is the only airline to service Lord Howe Island and has connections from 750 global destinations as part of the One World Alliance. International travellers can sometimes include flights to and from Lord Howe in tickets to Australia. Please check with your travel agent. You can then use our accommodation rates for land content only.
Flights to Lord Howe Island are sometimes cancelled due to weather. It is important that you purchase travel insurance that covers the cost of additional accommodation, or lost accommodation, due to 'weather' cancellations.
Check-in & check-out
Check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is 10am. Early check-ins and late check-outs are sometimes available. Please check with Pinetrees staff on the day.
Packages and special offers can't be combined. We'll always find the best package or offer for guest requirements.
Sole use of rooms is permitted, except with the 'bed and breakfast' rate. Please inquire for sole use rates.
Additional children and adults in rooms
When sharing with 2 adults: 1. children under 5 are free of charge; 2. children aged 5 to 14 are charged 65% of the adult tariff; 3. all other guests aged 15 and over are charged 75% of the adult tariff. As part of Lord Howe's World Heritage listing, Pinetrees is licensed for 75 guests, and all people aged 5 and over are considered to occupy one licensed bed. All guests in each room must book the same rate (i.e all guests must be on a 'all inclusive' rate or 'bed & breakfast' rate). Pinetrees will not accept bookings with mixed rates within one room.
Rates for children
Children under 5 are free of charge when sharing with 2 adults, or one adult paying the sole use tariff. Children aged 5 to 14 are charged 65% of the adult tariff. All children aged 5-14 must share with another child, two adults or one adult paying the sole use tariff.
Pinetrees Lodge reserves the right to alter rates without notice.
A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person is required to confirm a reservation.
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. A cancellation fee of 25% of the total tariff will be charged for cancellations or changes made to bookings 45-15 days before arrival. A cancellation fee of 100% of the total tariff will be charged for cancellations or changes made to bookings 14 days or less before arrival. A cancellation fee of 100% of the total tariff will be charged for no show on the day of arrival. There are no refunds for early departures. There are no refunds for delayed arrivals due to delayed/cancelled/disrupted travel plans. Specific cancellation conditions apply to special interest groups, big family groups and to bookings in December and January. These are advised at the time of booking.
