Pinetrees has hosted families for over 100 years, and many people who came as children now bring their own children and grandchildren. We’ve heard many of our guests reminisce about their children learning to walk or ride a bike on the Pinetrees lawn.

Families return to Pinetrees every year because it's safe for kids who enjoy a level of freedom above and beyond other holiday destinations. They soon meet up with other kids and forget about social media as they rediscover the fun and adventure of swimming, snorkelling, bike riding, beachcombing and exploring. They can even watch Gower Wilson milk the cows. Meanwhile, parents get a break from shopping, cooking and cleaning and enjoy relaxing dinners together, or with new friends. High energy daytime activities combined with early kids dinners and a babysitter (if you want one) are some of our secrets to a happy family holiday!

The best feature of a Pinetrees family holiday is the limited travel time. Lord Howe Island is less than 2 hours flight from Sydney and Brisbane, and once you've arrived, the activities and sustenance are at your doorstep.
