lord howe island
Lord Howe Island is one of the most spectacular destinations in the world. It's dramatic scenery, lush subtropical forests, rare flora and fauna, pristine beaches and colourful marine life are breathtaking and unique. In combination with a warm climate, vibrant local community and great range of world-class activities, Lord Howe is the perfect destination for all ages.
In recognition of its scenic beauty and biodiversity, Lord Howe was inscribed as a World Heritage site in 1982. The list includes Uluru, Kakadu, Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef. More recently, National Geographic named Lord Howe as one of their 'Places of a Lifetime'.
Lord Howe Island is a fantastic island for walking, swimming and snorkelling in unique surroundings, where kids can safely explore by bike. Pinetrees Lodge is a good opportunity to meet other parents in a relaxed and friendly environment with great service.

Pinetrees Lodge is a national treasure! Staying on the island is special enough – the natural beauty, wildlife and swimming. But staying at Pinetrees Lodge is an additional delight – a wonderful guesthouse with a proud, unbroken history, wonderful food and a friendly but reliable good and welcoming staff. Too special for words!

It is hard to sum up the brilliance of Lord Howe Island in a few lines. It is an escape from reality and a holiday in paradise with beautiful beaches and walks with spectacular views. This is my twelfth stay at Pinetrees Lodge; it is a wonderful guesthouse with the friendliest staff. Thank you for the best 10 days of my year! See you next year!

Kayaking on the lagoon on Lord Howe Island, BBQ’s at Ned’s Beach are most memorable. From the moment Pinetrees Lodge picked us up at the airport we were warmly welcomed.
