Pinetrees may be remote, but we provide world-class meals. Our chefs have worked in some of Australia's best restaurants.
Breakfast starts with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal and a sprinkle of semi-dried Persian fruits. Soon after, you'll have a choice from our daily menu. Options include: free range eggs benedict with smoked ham and hollandaise on brioche; button mushroom, spinach and hazelnut salad with scrambled eggs and hazelnut vinaigrette; or smoked bacon, cheddar and spinach quesadilla with avocado and coriander salsa.
For lunch, you can join us at Pinetrees for our 'plat du jour', beautiful salads and home-made bread. Better still, we'll gladly pack fresh kingfish, lamb chops, sausages, salads and cheese into an esky and local pandanus basket, and deliver them to one of the many idyllic barbeque spots on the island for your own private lunch. There’s no additional charge, it’s just part of the Pinetrees experience.
For guests who return to the lodge mid-afternoon, either from an adventure or a siesta, afternoon tea is always a treat. Our pastry chef prepares scones, cakes or pastries every afternoon to accompany your tea or coffee. Many guests touch base at afternoon tea and compare stories from their day.
It's dinner, though, where our meals stand out. Our chefs use fresh local seafood, local produce and other quality ingredients to create memorable four course dinners. Some evenings, we start with sunset canapés and champagne on the boatshed deck. We always provide a 'lighter option' for guests who prefer simple food, and can tailor our menu for most dietary requirements. Many guests say that Pinetrees dinners are the best they've had.
