One of our most well-known members of staff and local Lord Howe identity, Lindy Cameron, has taught us about professional road cycling. It turns out Lindy's son, Cameron Wurf, is one of Australia's best cyclists. Cameron currently rides for the Italian team 'Liquigas-Cannondale' and is one of the key helpers to Ivan Basso, a regular winner of stages in the grand European tours. Cameron's best result to date was 5th in the 2011 Tour of Turkey (he's also rowed for Australia at the 2004 Athens Olympics).
