Generational change at Pinetrees
01-Sep-2010
Pinetrees Lodge is one of the oldest family businesses in Australia.
As of Spring 2010, the 6th generation of the original family have taken over the operation of the business, and will continue the tradition of genuine hospitality, fine food and personal service.
Dani Rourke (the daughter of Pixie and Ed Rourke) and Jim McFadyen (the nephew of Kerry and Bruce McFadyen) are the new Executive Managers of the Lodge, together with their partners Luke Hanson and Rachael McFadyen.
In their former lives, Jim and Rachael ran a successful cafe in Cronulla, Dani was a lawyer with Blake Dawson Waldron and IBM, and Luke was an ecologist with the Australian Government and United Nations.
Kerry, Bruce and Ed will help us through the transition and will spend their semi-retirement in Sydney and on the Island.
We're bubbling with enthusiasm and ready to continue the unique service that Pinetrees is famous for. We're also planning some renovations and changes to our accommodation over the next 12 months. Please come and stay!
