Great Walks Magazine is Australia’s premier bushwalking magazine. We’re keen subscribers and many of our guests read the magazine with great enthusiasm – particularly when the articles are about Lord Howe. The latest edition of Great Walks has a feature article about our Walking and Photography Week in November 2015, by the Editor, Brent McKean.
Brent’s article is great summary of our Walking and Photography Weeks. We cover the island from pristine beaches, exposed coral platforms and lowland kentia forests to the cliffs of Mt Lidgbird and beyond. Each day we focus on a photographic theme to help our guests develop their skills step-by-step, and we include brief technical workshops with our ‘photographer-in-residence’. As good as our photographic advice is, guests learn just as much from each other, particularly when they see each other’s photos from the day.
Each day we have a competition to help guests focus on the theme of the day, and the winner (not that it’s all that serious) gets a bottle of wine on condition that they share it around. Brent’s article shows the winning photos for each of the themes, and you’ll be impressed. Thanks Brent!
